Alternative Investment Market (AIM) Financial Glossary

What is it? Aim is designed as a separate market for the shares of smaller growing companies that are not yet ready for a full listing on the London Stock Exchange. It allows them access to investment capital without the cost and regulatory burdens of a full listing on the main market. The Aim is usually used as a stepping stone to the main market.
