Driver Rate Financial Glossary

What is it? A market interest rate used in simulation modeling to affect interest rates for other instruments. For example, instead of forecasting future levels of rates to be paid on its 90 day CDs, a bank modeler may tie those rate changes to future changes in a market driver rate such as the 90 day T-Bill rate.
